Shining the light on road safety

Cleveland Fire Brigade is reminding all road users (incl .pedestrians, runners, dog walkers and cyclists) to make sure they are visible on these dark mornings and evenings. Fire Authority urges retailers to follow Sainsbury’s and ban sale of Fireworks

Cleveland Fire Authority is urging other retailers to follow Sainsbury’s lead and ban the sale of fireworks. Last week Sainsbury’s became the first major supermarket to stop selling fireworks at its 2,300 stores in the UK, and while Cleveland Fire Authority applauds this decision they feel others should follow suit. Fire Brigade urges public to use FixMyStreet in the fight against deliberate fires

Local Fire Fighters are taking swift action against the causes of deliberate fires using the FixMyStreet app. Fly-tipping sites often become targets for deliberate fires when arsonists set rubbish alight.
