Shaping the Future of Cleveland Fire Brigade

Pre-Consultation Open: Monday 9 June – Sunday 6 July 2025

Help shape the future of your local fire service

We’re inviting you to take part in a four-week public pre-consultation that will help shape Cleveland Fire Brigade’s Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) 2026–2030.

This plan outlines how we identify, prevent, and respond to risks in our communities – and we want your input to make sure we get it right.

By sharing your views, you’ll help us shape a fire service that truly reflects the priorities of the people we serve.

Why your views matter

The risks facing our communities are changing, and the way we deliver our services must evolve too. We’re committed to doing more than just responding to emergencies – we want to stop incidents before they happen by focusing on prevention, education and community resilience.

To do that, we need to make informed decisions about how we use our resources. That means making sure we have the right people and equipment in the right places at the right times, and investing in areas like training, innovation, and community engagement.

This pre-consultation is the first step in shaping our future direction, and your feedback is vital in helping us understand the priorities, expectations, and needs of our diverse communities.

What this pre-consultation will do

  • Gather views from residents, businesses, staff, partners, elected members, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify the key issues and opportunities facing Cleveland Fire Brigade.
  • Inform the development of options for future service delivery.
  • Ensure that any proposals taken forward reflect the needs and values of the communities we serve.

We will publish a summary of the feedback received and use it to help develop more detailed proposals for a full public consultation launching in September this year.
