The Community Fire Safety Division of Cleveland Fire Brigade aim to promote fire awareness in children aged 4 -16 and reduces deaths and injuries due to fire.
A programme has been designed for the 2007/2008 school year in conjunction with Local Education Authorities to build up a sound knowledge of fire safety in the home and the role of the Fire Brigade in the community. The following services are freely available to all schools and will benefit your children in both an academic and personal nature.

We can deliver sessions to :
Pre and Post School Clubs
Areas covered are relative to the year group and are open to discussion.
Primary Schools - Juniors
Year 5 - Visits are available for interactive teaching sessions in our mobile Community Education Vehicle. We will require access to safe and adequate parking facilities.
Numbers - single or double class sizes up to 39 pupils.
Session Time - Approximately 1 hour duration but flexible dependent on lesson times.
Secondary Schools - Juniors
Year 7 - Court room drama: Interactive role play involving all members of the class. Participation and delivery is more suited to a hall or drama theatre.
Numbers - dependent on facilities but can be more than one class size.
Session Time - Approximately 45 minutes
Year 8 - Power Point Presentation
Interactive lesson. Topics covered are as above but also includes attacks on Fire Fighters.
Numbers - Preferably more than one class size.
Session Times - Approximately 45 minutes but flexible dependent on lesson times.
Specialist Schools
The area covered are at the request of the school.
