Cleveland Fire Brigade is committed to providing a professional and efficient service that is valued by the community it serves. We welcome comments on how we provide this service whether it involves congratulations, criticism or constructive suggestions. All comments received will be used in a positive way to contribute to the formulation of policy and service delivery.
Recruitment and Selection Policy (PDF)
The purpose of this policy is to ensure all appointments made within the Brigade are done so using open, justifiable and objective “evidence based” criteria. The aim will be to have the right person in the right job at the right time.
Equality and Diversity Policy (PDF)
This policy reinforces Cleveland Fire Brigade’s commitment to promote equality of opportunity and diversity within both employment and service delivery.
Partnership Policy (PDF)
The aim of this policy is to provide an agreed corporate definition for a partnership and illustrate the Brigade’s partnership governance arrangements to be used to build capacity and increase productivity. This will be achieved by entering into partnerships with other public, private and voluntary sector agencies that have a shared ambition for our community.
Environmental Policy (PDF)
This policy outlines how the Brigade will take to the application of principles, which will contribute to the mitigation of adverse effects upon the natural environment. It acknowledges there is an important role for the Brigade to undertake in improving awareness and understanding of environmental issues, both within the Brigade and the wider community.
