Members Allowance Notice – Cleveland Fire Authority

NOTICE UNDER THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES (MEMBERS’ ALLOWANCES) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2003

The Authority having regard to the recommendations made by an Independent Panel (IRP) determined, at the Authority meeting held on 18 October 2019, not to approve the allowances as recommended by the IRP.  The main features of the IRP recommendations are detailed below and the allowances as approved by the Authority.  In summary, the Authority approved a lower increase of 2% in allowances payable from 1st April 2019 and to then freeze allowances until 31st March 2023.
