Firefighters hold charity car wash

Stockton Fire Station

A car wash, in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity, is to be held this Saturday (22 September) at Stockton Fire Station, South Road, Norton.

Everyone is welcome to bring their cars to the Station between 10.00am – 4.00pm to get them washed by firefighters, with proceeds going to The Fire Fighters Charity.

Peter Walton, Crew Manager with Cleveland Fire Brigade, said: “The car wash starts at 10am, so come along anytime from then until 4pm to let local firefighters make your car shine.

“It is for an excellent cause and is a great opportunity for you to meet your local firefighters and go away with a clean car.”

The Fire Fighters Charity supports serving and former fire service personnel and their families during their times of need. Over the years the Charity has assisted many firefighters to improve their quality of life following accidents and injuries and has been a lifeline to thousands of people. With no Government funding, the Charity is completely reliant upon donations from the general public and the fire community.
