About Stockton District

The local authority area of Stockton Borough council is covered by stations: Billingham, Stockton, Thornaby and Yarm.

 

Stockton District Manager Ian Harrington is responsible for all fire brigade operational and business activity within the district.

 

Geographically the Stockton District is the second largest and second most densely populated. It has a challenging range of life risk from domestic, commercial, and industrial life risk. It provides cover for:


  • the A66 and A19 major arterial roadways
  • highest volume of road tanker movements in the UK
  • a major airport (Durham Tees Valley)
  • a large out of town shopping centre (Teesside park)
  • large parts of the River Tees (providing water rescue)
  • a major power station

 

The district is made up of the Billingham Central, Billingham East, Billingham North, Billingham South, Billingham West, Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree, Eaglescliffe, Fairfield, Grangefield, Hardwick, Hartburn, Ingleby Barwick East, Ingelby Barwick West, Mandale and Victoria, Newtown, Northern Parishes, Norton North, Norton South, Norton West, Parkfield and Oxbrigde, Roseworth, Stainsby Hill, Stockton Town Centre, Village, Western Parishes, Yarm.
