You must:

Cleveland Fire Brigade has a limited number of smoke alarms it will fit and carbon monoxide detectors it will provide for relevant properties in the run up to the new regulations.

Failure to comply with the regulations could lead to penalties of up to £5,000.

Before filling in this form please ensure that you have informed your tenants and they have consented to staff from Cleveland Fire Brigade contacting them to arrange to visit them and fit smoke and carbon monoxide alarms where necessary.

Due to the new regulations coming into force we are dealing with a large number of requests. Please be assured we will be in touch as soon as possible.
