The introduction of Home Fire Safety Visits is designed to help us reduce the number of incidents of this type, and by doing so reduce fire related deaths and injuries within our area.
This major initiative was launched in June 2003. The aim of the initiative is to offer a free home fire safety visit to everyone within our community over a three and a half year period.
The Home Fire Safety Visits are carried out by by operational crews who help identify fire hazards, provide fire safety advice, assist with fire planning, and will, if necessary fit FREE smoke alarms.
