The North East Regional Management Board (RMB) comprising of the 4 North East Fire Authorities of Cleveland, Durham and Darlington, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear was established on 1 January 2004.
There are 16 Elected Members on the Board, with 4 politically proportioned Member representatives from each Authority. The Chair and Vice Chair are elected on a rotational basis for a 2 year period. The current Chair is Councillor B Forster from Cleveland Fire Authority and the Vice Chair is Councillor I Lindley from Northumberland Fire Authority.
