What is the Authority?

Cleveland Fire Authority was established on 1 April 1996, as a Combined Fire Authority and is responsible for the provision of fire and rescue services to the areas covered by the borough councils of Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton on Tees.

The Authority is responsible for setting the strategic direction, policies and priorities of the Brigade. In doing so it aims to take into account the views of our stakeholders and keep them fully informed of Fire Authority plans.

Fire Authority meetings are normally held at Cleveland Fire Brigade, Training & Administration Hub, Endeavour House, Queens Meadow Business Park, Hartlepool, TS25 5TH.

Members of the public and press are welcome to attend, but may occasionally be excluded when confidential information is discussed.

You can contact us on 01429 874008 to confirm dates and times of meetings, check them here on the website, or check your local authority notice boards.

If you have any queries relating to Cleveland Fire Authority governance matters, please contact Beverley Parker, Democratic and Administration Manager on 01429 874101 or at cfa@clevelandfire.gov.uk.
