Buy a heater which carries the
British Electrotechnical Approvals Board
(BEAB) mark;
Plug it directly into a wall socket; do not use it with a multi-adapter. Fit the correct fuse;
Position the flex so that it will not be tripped over;
Do not run the flex under a rug or carpet where it could be damaged by constantly being walked on;
Do not allow the flex to become heated by the fire;
Do not use a timer switch with radiant heater;
Unplug it before going to bed or when it is not being used.
