Cleveland Fire Brigade has at its disposal a Community Safety Vehicle. This was launched in 2002 and along with two members of our Fire Safety team tours schools, roadshows and open days educating and giving advice on a variety of fire safety issues. Since its launch, the £85,000 vehicle attends approximately 80 schools and educates on average 2,500 children a year.

 

Due to its 29 seat classroom style interior, children and adults can enjoy theatre style surroundings whilst gaining essential Fire Safety information via our on board projection screen, dvd, video and audio equipment.

 

The Community Safety Vehicle is also equipped with air conditioning, wheelchair access and side panel opening for greater public access.
