The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

The Communities and Local Government (CLG) was created on 5 May 2006 with a powerful remit to promote community cohesion and equality. The CLG have produced booklets with simple and practical advice to those people responsible for fire safety in small and medium businesses. Guides are currently available through the CLG website.

 

The National Fire Sprinkler Network (NFSN)

The NFSN views the development and increase in the application of fire sprinkler technology as an enhancement of the public good.

 

DirectGov

DirectGov is the official government website for citizens. The site contains information on fire safety in and outside the home. It also shows information on the Fire Kills campaign.

 

Business Link

Business Link contains information on health and safety in the workplace.

 

The Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA)

The CFOA provides independent and valuable advice to government on fire prevention, protection and intervention issues as well as on a wide range of community safety and rescue matters.


The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
The IFE is the international qualifying organisation and learned society for fire engineering and fire safety professionals. IFE is at the heart of the fire community, promoting best practice and advancing the discipline for the benefit of society and supporting the professional development of members.

 

The Fire Protection Association (FPA)

The FPA website is aimed at those who run small and medium sized enterprises.

 

Fire Safety Guides

A set of guides is available from the Communities and Local Government and they inform  you what you have to do to comply with fire safety law, help you to carry out a fire risk assessment and identify the general fire precautions you need to have in place.
