We will visit you at home to offer advice on how to make your home safe and where appropriate fit a smoke alarm or alarms for free. We will also show you how to prepare an escape plan to get you and your family out of the house safely in the event of a fire. Visits are arranged at your convenience between 9.30am to 12.30pm, 2.00pm to 4.30pm or 5.30pm to 8.00pm on any day including Saturdays, Sunday, Public and Bank Holidays.
Anyone who lives in the Cleveland Fire Brigade area is eligible for a free home fire safety visit or free smoke alarms. Our area includes the four borough councils of:

Redcar & Cleveland

Stockton on Tees
If you live outside these areas you are still eligible for a home fire safety visit but it will be undertaken by another Fire and Rescue Service.
