If a fire occurs in your home, your chances of survival will depend on how quickly and safely you are able to get out. An escape plan and working smoke alarm can buy you and your family vital time to escape. Smoke alarms save lives!
What is a home fire safety visit?
We will visit you at home to offer advice on how to make your home safe and where appropriate fit a smoke alarm or exchange your chip pan for a deep fat fryer - view criteria. We will also show you how to prepare an escape plan to get you and your family out of the house safely in the event of a fire. Visits are arranged at your convenience between 9.30am to 12.30pm, 2.00pm to 4.30pm or 5.30pm to 8.00pm on any day including Saturdays, Sunday, Public and Bank Holidays.
Who is eligible?
We target our visits in areas and situations where we know there is a higher risk of fire, including the homes of older or disabled people, but anyone living in the Cleveland area can request a free home fire safety visit.
