Cleveland Fire Authority 'Safety Improvement Plan 2007-2008'
Planning aCleveland Fire Authority's Integrated Risk Management Strategy (2004) 'Reducing the Risk – Improving Public Safety' implemented the goverment led modernisation agenda for the Fire & Rescue Service with consequent changes, leading to a risk based approach, for service nd delivery.
The results since 2004 show a huge improvement in the reduction of risk within our diverse communities and support the process of the fundamental change to provide a balance between prevention, protection and response 'frontline' services.
Although the results so far are commendable, and our staff and partners are to be congratulated, we will not become complacent. In particular we will ensure that the continued improvement in results is developed, by regular reviews on services, and the evaluation of the impact that our plans have. Our aim is to ensure sustainable outcomes for improved safety and the protection of our local communities are achieved.
This Safety Improvement Plan 2007-2008 (Integrated Risk Management Year 4 Action Plan) proposals are part of the continual review of the way in which we deliver community safety services to meet the needs of all sections of the community with the objective of maintaining and improving public safety.
Cleveland Fire Authority values your views on the proposals and we invite you to make comments on the items contained within the Action Plan at the back of this document.
