The 12-month contracts until 31 March 2018 are open to anyone qualified or working towards a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Emergency Fire Service Operations in the Community or may have worked in industrial or other firefighting roles in recent months.
Chief Fire Officer Ian Hayton said: “This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the Brigade and get first-hand experience as a wholetime firefighter. We are looking for those who may be either be in a retained role at the moment or working in similar posts within other organisations.
“Successful applicants will be given familiarisation training before taking up their new posts.”
The jobs are across the Cleveland Fire Brigade area and applicants must be ready to work flexible hours and be part of a team as well as experienced in handling firefighting equipment.
