Get in the swing to support the Fire Fighters Charity

Why not come along to Cleveland Fire Brigade’s Annual Charity Golf Day on Thursday 18 July  and help raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.

The Brigade’s Annual Charity Golf Day will be held at the prestigious Wynyard Golf Club on Thursday 18 July, when teams of four will battle it out over the 18-hole Wellington Course.

Anyone can enter either a team of four or individually, those who enter individually will be allocated a team on arrival. The day will start with golfers receiving coffee and a snack and then after their round of golf a three-course meal will be served up in the clubhouse.

After the event there will be top prizes for the winning teams and players will also be asked to enter a raffle to win other fantastic prizes.

Ian Hayton, Chief Fire Officer said: “Our Annual Charity Golf Day is a great day out for all and is a fantastic opportunity to raise much-needed funds for a very worthwhile cause.

“The Fire Fighters Charity supports serving and former fire service personnel and their families during their times of need. Over the years the Charity has assisted many firefighters to improve their quality of life following accidents and injuries and has been a lifeline to thousands of people and with no government funding, the charity is completely reliant upon donations from the general public and fire community.”

“It is always a great day and we are delighted that Wynyard Golf Club is making available its excellent Wellington Course which is a good test for any golfer. I really do hope that local businesses, organisations and individuals come forward to support the event to help us raise as much money as possible.”

As the event is restricted to 18 teams (72 golfers) anyone interest is urged to contact us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. The cost to enter a team of four is £320 or £80 for an individual player. This includes green fees, food on arrival, a chance to win our great prizes and a three course meal.
