After Fire Support Group to be held

AN AFTER Fire Support Group is to be held this weekend (Saturday 15 September) for anyone who has been affected by a fire in their homes.

The Cleveland Fire Support Network – an organisation of volunteers who work with Cleveland Fire Brigade – is to host the event at Coulby Newham Fire Station, Bickley Way, from 11am and 1pm.

Anyone who has been affected by fire at home is welcome to come along for support and advice. As well as supporting each other in a group setting, there will also be an opportunity for you to help support victims.

Heather Whyman, Chief Executive of the Cleveland Fire Support Network, said: “This is an opportunity for us to support victims of home fires and we welcome anyone who has been affected to join us on Saturday.

“The event is being held with an aim to bring people together so that as well as our advice and support, the group can help each other too.

“We also want to see if any attendees would like to help support victims individually, as well as continuing to support each other in group settings. These meetings will alternate between each of the four districts across Cleveland on a monthly basis.

“Lunch will also be provided.”
