Help us recognise the success of our staff

Cleveland Fire Brigade has launched a
new staff awards system to enable members of our local communities to nominate.

The Brigade has teamed up with the charitable organisation The WOW! Awards, who aim to recognise excellent customer service. You can nominate a member of Brigade staff when you feel they have gone that extra mile, or above and beyond the call of duty to help someone.

Not only will staff be in the running to receive awards at the Brigade’s annual staff awards event at the end of May, but they will also be in with a chance of receiving a national award from WOW!

Gary Cawley, Director of Business Development of Cleveland Fire Brigade said: “We are really pleased to announce the launch of our new awards system, as recognising the achievements of our staff is essential and who better to ask than the communities we serve.

“When members of the public feel they have received excellent customer service, or that staff have made that extra effort, they can now put them forward to receive an award.”

WOW! Awards Ambassador Andrew Fisher said “We are delighted to have this opportunity of working with Cleveland Fire Brigade to allow the people of Cleveland to say ‘thanks’ for the excellent work undertaken by firefighters and staff of the Brigade.”

Brigade staff will be issuing posters, leaflets and business cards around Cleveland in order to spread the news and encourage nominations.
